Mount Lofty House

A popular Adelaide wedding venue get’s a makeover

Wedding DJ, David Bartholomeusz from Griffin Alliance, reviews Mt Lofty House so brides and engaged couples can consider it as a reception venue for their special day.

Mount Lofty House: Coach House

As promised, I’m reviewing the new Coach House room at Mount Lofty House. For those of you who haven’t considered Mt Lofty House for your wedding, this is for you.

MtLH-02Mt Lofty House has completely changed over the last 3 years. The Mercure Group have taken it over and converted what was an already excellent venue into just something absolutely fantastic, so this space is completely new.

A lot of you probably don’t know this space even exists – it’s called the Coach House. It’s done beautifully and has employed very good-looking staff (for all you ladies!). This is a small intimate room which is a great venue for a cocktail function. They’ve got about 100 down for cocktails tonight for the wedding and I’ve shown you the room but this is what you really want to see!

Stunning views of Adelaide for your wedding reception venue

MtLH-04The view just outside of the Coach House room will blow your mind! Guests are spoilt with beautiful views of the gardens and the Adelaide hills from a beautiful little deck. And there are even a few little lawn games for guests. Everyone is contained in a beautiful little space, so this is just a perfect venue for bride’s who love a garden setting.

Any new brides that are considering Mt Lofty House, the Coach House area is a great choice if you’re looking for an intimate venue overlooking the gorgeous hills of Adelaide. There are also 3 other spaces that you could have your wedding in that will accommodate anything fro 30 people for a sit-down wedding, right through to about 150 people.

MtLH-06The Coach House is just one of the great spaces up at Mt Lofty House, so don’t be afraid to come and check out to find the perfect wedding reception venue for you!

And of course, the Griffin Alliance team can arrange all of your entertainment. Talk to our team of wedding DJ’s today on 0417 819 553.

National Wine Centre

Hey there, it’s David Bartholomeusz here from Griffin Alliance DJs, once again.  Hey, how are you going? I’m just at the National Wine Centre.  I just want to show you around outside before we go in, in case you’re considering this venue for your wedding reception.

NWC-250315aYou can see this beautiful outdoor area where everyone gets together beforehand, absolutely fantastic!  And then, you get the view right in to the Botanic Gardens as well.  So, it’s a beautiful outdoor space where people can come and gather beforehand.  Now the thing I really like most about the National Wine Centre and why I think it’s worth checking out is because there’s a lot of different spaces so you have got a lot of different options in terms of what you can do here.  I’m DJing in this small room over here called the Vine’s room, which, for up to 50 people is absolutely fine and they’re having a beautiful cocktail party.  In here, you’ve got the grand ballroom and it’s just absolutely massive.  So, there’s also two other rooms that you can use as well.  So you’ve got a really a big range of option from a very small intimate group to a huge, massive wedding as well.  So, whatever is your group size, it’s really worth coming in here and having a chat with the team.  They’re very professional.  Misty is the person I’m working with tonight and she’s been absolutely fantastic and so organized.

NWC-250315bSo, I’ll just run you around in to the Vine’s room so you can check that out and have a look what they have done with the place.  Probably, the number one drawback for this venue, I would say it’s that it’s a little bit clinical, so, if you want to have a real country feel to the music and the setting and that sort of stuff then some other venues are really good for that.  So, you know, that’s not you’re not going get a vintage wedding for your day out this venue but in terms of having a great time, this venue is absolutely ideal. The other thing that I’ll point out a huge pro of this venue is their production team and their operations team are just absolutely spot on because they do a large number of events.  So, you kind of get almost an international hotel level of service.  So, to sum up this venue and like I said, no matter what your wedding size, this venue has got a room for you.  This is David Bartholomeusz from Griffin Alliance DJs. Hope it’s useful for you.

Longview Vineyard

Hey David Bartholomeusz from Griffin Alliance DJs here.  I’m just showing you the area for the ceremony at Longview Winery.  Really, really awesome here.  As you can see out over here, lots of socializing out over the vineyard, absolutely beautiful.  There’s a bar up there.  And this is a beautiful big tree here which I wouldn’t normally make a fuss over a tree but it’s just this beautiful, a striking distance.  So, if you want a real country to your wedding plus elegance, certainly for your ceremony, that’s how you walk down the aisle.

Hey, how are you going?  Dave Bartholomeusz here from Griffin Alliance DJs.  I just thought I’d show you a little bit about Longview Winery, just the pros and cons of this venue.

LV_hero-300So, as you can see, really, really beautiful and I think it was really, really hard to set things up. Probably the biggest pro of this venue I think is it got a huge amount of country character.  So you can basically do the venue up as nice as you want but it doesn’t have to be ostentatious.  So, you can get a real feel of elegance but without a huge amount of ostentatiousness I guess.  I really want to show you the outside area but it’s windy today.  It’s not usually super windy up here so that’s a bit of a surprise but it’s a beautiful balcony up here and then stretching out to the lawns.  I’ll put some pictures of the lawn areas set up for the ceremony, as you can see that. Beautiful venue, it’s very well worth checking it out if you’re thinking of getting married up here. David Bartholomeusz from Griffin Alliance DJs at Longview Winery.  If you want to know about it then give me a call on your domino and tell you what I know.

Gomersal Winery in the Barossa Valley Review

Hi, it’s DJ Dave here, just reporting in from Gomersal Winery.  Just in case you’re thinking about having your reception here, just to give you a bit of an idea of what the place is like.

Gomersal1So, I’ll just talk a little bit about the pros and cons of the venue.  I’m not really here to tell whether it’s good or bad because as you’ve probably already know, it’s not about a venue is good or bad, it’s about whether it’s right for you.  So, I have to say I’ve not seen this venue done up this nicely, it’s just absolutely fantastic and it’s a real credit to the team here and that’s probably my number one pro for Gomersal Winery as a wedding reception venue.  It’s that Gaby and her team are just 100% supportive with doing what you want to do.  Last time I was here, I saw this venue done complete differently but it’s just absolutely fantastic!

gomersalProbably the biggest con, I would say for this venue, is the sound restrictions.  It’s not to say, do not come here, absolutely not!  The sound level is pretty good but it’s not high, high so, if you want to have a crazy, crazy party with lots and lots of loud music, this is probably not your best choice.  They would love you to be able to turn the music up really loud but they’ve got neighbors that just force you to lower the music

Gomersal2So, just gonna come over here and show you the cake because whoever made this cake just needs 10,000 gold medals.  Look at that, chocolate on the one side and there’s the traditional wedding cake on the other.  It’s just so phenomenal!

So, sound aside, there is probably one other factor to consider, it’s a pro or con and you can actually see it and not see it today, which is, this venue needs a fair bit done to it to look awesome, so, that might be a con but as you can see , if you’re willing to put in the effort, having a venue like this is an absolute pro because  you can do with exactly the way you want and once again that‘s where Gaby and the team come in, They are so supportive of allowing you to be creative and just do whatever you like with this venue.

So that’s Gomersal Winery, reviewed for its suitability as a wedding reception venue.  Thank you for checking it out.
